NoLed – Android App

Some of the latest Android phones on the market today, lack a physical notification indicator. This ingenious application could be the solution to that.

A physical notifier is usually a dedicated LED light, that would blink or would light up when there is a notification for the user. The purpose of having such a notifier could be thought of as a backup plan,so to speak. If the user misses the general notification, which is indicated by a ring tone, message tone, beep, vibration, etc the notification light will turn on. Therefore when the user checks his phone the next time, he will know that he had missed a call or a message.

But unfortunately, phones like the Samsung Galaxy S and and Samsung Galaxy SII lack this physical indicator. This suggests that unless the user checks his phone, he will not be notified, given that he already missed the general notifications.

NoLed is the solution for this issue. No-Led is an application that can be installed in one’s phone with ease. Once installed, the user can customize the size, color and brightness of his notifications. There are also power saving options.

Third party apps, such as Whatsapp, Ebuddy, Nimbuzz, etc, can be added to the notifications list as well. Therefore, No-Led will show notifications even from them. There is also an option to back up the current settings, in case the user modifies the app or re-installs it.

The battery percentage indicator and charging indicator are also very useful options in this application.

Triangle Away

If you have ever flashed a custom ROM on to your phone, there is a 80% chance that you must have seen a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark (“!”) on your boot screen. Well, “triangle away” can help you to remove it permanently.

The yellow triangle with the “!” mark indicates that the original operating system has been tampered with. It also indicates that the original operating system ,also known as the “stock ROM” has been either hacked or replaced with a custom ROM. Since the phone manufacturer can’t take responsibility for the owner tampering with his phone’s operating system, the yellow triangle is inbuilt, and will appear as soon as the phone is either hacked or tampered with. Once the yellow triangle has appeared on the boot screen, the owner’s warranty becomes void. Therefore the manufacturer cannot be blamed in any way.

The triangle away app is the solution for this problem. It allows the user to remove the yellow triangle, every time a new ROM has been flashed.

The triangle away application can be installed like any other application and run without any problems. But it is important to note that this app only works on “rooted phones” ,which means that this application needs super-user access to function.

Although there are numerous methods of removing the yellow triangle (including using a USB Jig), this is probably the easiest and simplest one of all. But keep in mind that this is done at your own risk. We take no responsibility.
