Asus Confirms: Transformer Pad, Transformer Prime, And Pad Infinity Will Receive Jelly Bean

Today, ASUS has confirmed that the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will be available for the Transformer Pad, Transformer Prime, and the Pad Infinity in “the coming months”. Check the full statement after the break.

At ASUS, one of the key commitments we make to our customers is a relentless drive to deliver the best user experience. We constantly strive to achieve this goal through our ‘Design Thinking’ philosophy that includes regular software and firmware updates for our products.

We are pleased to announce that many of our tablet products are scheduled to receive an update to Android 4.1, Jelly Bean. The ASUS Transformer Pad, ASUS Transformer Pad Prime and ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity are all scheduled to receive Android 4.1 updates in the coming months. We will provide further guidance on our expected timeframes for these updates near their release.

We are still investigating Jelly Bean updates for other devices, but we are not in a position to confirm whether any other products will be eligible for an update at the moment.

Google Nexus 7 Tablet announcement – Video

Today at I/O 2012, Google announced its own Nexus 7 tablet. Check the video of the Galaxy Nexus 7 in action and new Jelly Bean features from I/O event.



Google Nexus 7 features a 7 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 chip with a 12 core ultra-low voltage nVidia GeForce GPU, 1GB of RAM, a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

And despite the capable hardware, Google managed to keep the price of the Nexus 7 low, 8GB model will set you back $199 and the 16GB will cost $249.

Max Payne Released for Android

After a couple of delays, Max Payne Mobile for Android has finally arrived onto the Google Play store and NVIDA TegraZone. Check the hands-on video after the break.



The game is fully optimized for the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, requires Android 2.2 and up and it’s compatible with the following devices:
